From the hall of The Super Dome Tanzania in Dar es Salaam, Ms. Neema Msitha, Executive Secretary of the National Sports Council, presented the award to artist Abigail Chamungwana in the “best female rising international” category at the HAPA Awards held on August 10, 2024.
She is known for songs like Milele, Bata, Chapati, Nani, and Corazon, among others.

Others who won awards include actress Mariam Ismail. Mariam Ismail has been in the entertainment sector for a very long time with her latest Swahili telenovela, Huba.
Mariam Ismail has appeared in Angel Faces, Chase, Karma, Mimi, and Slay Queen, among others.
