Huba and Aziza actress Getrude Mwita, aka Kibibi, reveals how her culture demands some beating from the husband to make it sustainable.
In an interview with Bana Africa, Getrude Mwita reveals that there are also some women in her culture who demand to be beaten to be comfortable in that marriage.
There are some women who demand beatings from their husbands to make them happy. I have a friend who demands that her husband beat her. Her husband has not beaten her for some time, and she feels like being beaten for love to prosper,” Getrude added.

The Huba actress added that such women demand forceful beats. “My friend had to assault her husband to be beaten. So some cultures are like, Whaaat! How does beating your wife add days to the marriage?”
Kenya and Tanzania share the culture of some tribes, especially in Western Kenya. Women have to be beaten to be certain that the husband is really in love and has authority.
